Winston Cameron Catline was born in St. Simons, St. Andrew. He had one son, and one step-daughter and five grandchildren.
Mr. Catline left Barbados at a young age and emigrated to the United States. He worked there for a short while before returning to Barbados. He emigrated again this time to United Kingdom and worked at the General Post Office in Reading, Berkshire before retiring to Barbados. He possessed a phenomenal memory and was fiercely independent up to the time of his death.
