Ivy Ianthe Moore, was born in Crab Hill, St. Lucy.
Educated at St. Swithins’ Girls’ School, she first worked as an Agricultural Labourer at Crab Hill, Plantation and later as a Public Bath Attendant with the Ministry of Health.
Ivy married Ivan Moore now deceased in 1945. The couple had ten children, one of whom is deceased. She also has 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Moore was a devout worshipper at the New Testament Church of God, Crab Hill.
Her favourite dish is seafood.
